Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.
Psalm 27:14
Waiting is not easy, to put it simply. Many people (including myself) lack patience. Patience is an attribute that should be longed for, we should STRIVE to be patient, but so often we hate waiting... Our society is so fast pace that when God says to "wait" we can't because we do not know how. We want everything now and this instant, but some of the best things in life come after a period of waiting. Things such as a child (which takes 9 months), marriage, a deep friendship, a good job, and more. "Wait for the Lord," do we wait for Him? Or do we tell Him to do what we want on OUR terms rather than on His terms. He tells us to ask Him for all things, but He never said he's going to give it to us NOW and He may never give it to us if it's not good for us. We are to be STRONG and TAKE HEART (have courage) while we wait. We do not wait in weakness being feeble and idle but we are to be STRONG. Do something in your waiting. Don't let the wait beat you down. God has given us strength above all strength because he resides in us, his power is OUR power. Be courageous, have faith during the wait. God is never too far, and He hears you. He always hears you. You are able to remain in Him, and He will empower you. WAIT for Him. Especially when he tells you too, because waiting on Him is better than running away and falling... Wait for the Lord.

Trust
When I am afraid, I will trust in you. In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I will not be afraid. What can mortal man do to me?
Psalm 56:3-4
God is a SAFE place. The Protector. The Rescuer. The Hiding Place. God is our constant. He is always here for us. When we are terrified, He is there. When we are joyous, He is there. When we are saddened, He is there. Through ups and downs, He never fails. Our God is not a feeble, weak God; He is OMNIPOTENT and NEVER CHANGING. Why then would we choose to confide in anyone else if our God is all powerful and always here? We shall not be afraid. He is on our side. He is pulling for us. And if GOD is FOR us, who then can be AGAINST us? There is no competition between man and GOD because man was CREATED BY God. How can the CREATION be greater than the CREATOR? God will ALWAYS prevail. We have nothing to fear. Our God is for us. NO ONE can stand against. Take heart (:

Love is Sacrifice
Greater love has no man than this, that he lay his life down for his friends.
John 15:13
But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:8
Laying down your life doesn't necessarily mean dying. It means sacrificing yourself, and putting your friends before yourself. No matter what the cost may be. This sacrifice can be anything from time, money, or talents. It's giving of oneself. The definition of Sacrifice is: the surrender or destruction of something prized or desirable for the sake of something considered as having a higher or more pressing claim. Sacrifice is humility, it is raising another person above yourself and taking the role of a servant. Love is displayed in sacrifice. Christ's ultimate sacrifice was the giving of His life on the cross for US. He displayed his POWERFUL love in death. He saw us as a "higher or more pressing claim" than his own life. The Lord over Heaven and Earth laid down his life for us. He considers us his friends, and He demonstrated what true love is so that we have an example to imitate. So now the question is, are you willing to sacrifice yourself for the people you love?

Consider Trials a Joy
Consider it a great joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking in anything.
James 1:2-4
I don’t know about you, but normally I’m not thrilled when I face trials. But we are to consider them a joy. That’s the exact opposite of what we’re ingrained with. Everything in us screams just complain!!! Well Paul tells us that these trials help us. These trials are the ones that complete us. The more trials we have the closer we become to who God made us to be. The refining process is hard and it can hurt, but the pain never goes wasted. In these trials we are the most vulnerable. It’s in those times of vulnerability when we allow God to continue molding us. So I’m not saying be excited for trials, but that you can have an inner joy when they come. God is faithful always.

God encourages Him by saying be strong and courageous because He’s always with you. No matter where you are, God is also there… Now I want you to think about the cities God is telling you to conquer. He says do NOT be terrified or discouraged. The challenge may be great, but God is GREATER. He’s on your side telling you to go for it, and even though you feel insignificant or incredibly small, you WILL succeed because He made it so. Now I want you to think about the cities you have already conquered. These “cities” are proof of God’s faithfulness. Believe in Him. Be STRONG and COURAGEOUS. God is with you.
